THE LARRY SHAPIRO 3CS COLLECTION Everything about this SUPERB GEM is HIGH END and PQ all the way! Like many of the high grade survivors of this lower mintage Civil War date, only 21,000 were struck, while Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Vicksburg, Chickamauga, and Chattanooga were being fought. The fields show a boldly reflective, fully Prooflike reflection on both sides. The causal glance of this GEM, you might think its a Proof. Both sides are deeply toned, showing off a wonderful blend of colors that come to life in a light, especially on the obverse. The devices are razor sharp and frosty, giving this GEM a nearly Cameo appearance. The eye appeal is simply AMAZING. PCGS 25, NGC 111, CAC 11. There are three in MS66+ and just six finer. The most recent example sold in our February 2021 Regency Auction, realizing $8,813.
