- 1909-O Barber Quarter. MS-63 (PCGS). CAC. Faint iridescent gold toning clings to the peripheries of this otherwise brilliant example. Uncommonly smooth in hand for the assigned grade with a remarkably well executed strike. The New Orleans Mint delivered its final quarters in 1909 in the amount of just 712,000 coins. The historical significance of this issue seems to have been overlooked by contemporary Americans, as few Mint State coins were preserved.
