Totally original and what a marvelous GEM example of this date. Obviously the first thing that attracts your attention is th original toning. Light iridescent teal-lilac, russet-rose, and olive-gold patina drapes over the entire surface of the obverse. The satin-frosty luster below the toning brings out the subtle differences in the hues on the obverse. The reverse has more of a strong, rolling cartwheel luster with some flashy accents. The devices are sharply struck and frosty. A halo of gold tone frames the reverse giving it a very stunning look. There are only a few tiny marks on the cheek. The eye appeal is very high end and this has a really classic look! PCGS 21, NGC 9, CAC 6. The ONLY PCGS CAC MS65 to sell in auction was back in March 2009! Even nearly a decade ago, that coin brought $3,738. The most recent PCGS coin sold for $3,960 and was NOT CAC (in the 2018 ANA auction). Only 11 coins are graded finer, and this one will command a premium bid. Cert. Number 18322068 PCGS # 6471
