- 1873 United States Assay Commission Medal. Copper. 33 mm. By William Barber. JK AC-12b. Rarity-5. MS-64 BN (NGC). Beautiful mahogany-bronze surfaces display semi-reflectivity in the fields and vivid cobalt blue undertones under a light. Fully struck, nicely preserved and a delight to behold, this is a very appealing copper counterpart to the rarer silver impression offered above. Provenance: From the Richard Jewell Collection.
