- Lot 615 1844 Second Restrike Breen 1-C R6 PCGS graded Proof-62 Brown.Reverse of 1840. Medium brown blending to chocolate in protected areas with subtle hints of bluish steel on both sides. Sharply struck but the fields are not especially reflective. The only notable marks are a tiny planchet chip in the field right of star 3, a small rim nick under the second 4, and a tiny planchet flake at the dentil roots off the left top of the U in UNITED. Our grade is Proof-60. PCGS population 1; 4 finer: 1 in 64, 2 in 66, 1 in 66+. Value $6,000 - UP From the Boulder City NV Collection.
