Crown countermark on the obverse of a ND (1817-35) Madras 1/4 Rupee from Arcot (KM-413). Both host and countermark remain quite bold and pleasing, with the former beginning to form some alluring toning near the peripheries. A SCARCE and interesting type. Estimate: $400 - $600.
