- From an original mintage of just 2,100, this 38-S Boone ranks among the 15 finest graded by PCGS, just four of which are graded higher than the currently offered SUPERB GEM. An iridescent gold tone over bold satiny lustrous surfaces, deepens to splashes of rich russet tone on the obverse. The devices are boldly rendered and the surfaces are pristine. The eye appeal is great. PCGS 72, NGC 45, CAC 23. There are 11 in MS67+. The last one we sold brought $3,525 in February 2021.
