- INDIA. FRENCH INDIA. Mahe. Fanon, 175(0)-P. Bhultcheri Mint. NGC MS-64. KM-67. Struck by the French intermittently 1738-92. Boldly struck with nice centering and much legend, flashy luster slightly subdued with just a hint a tone beginning in the peripheries. Mahé, now in Kerala state, was held by the French until 1954, despite being captured by the British 1761-63, 1779-83, 1793-1816. Estimate: $100 - $150.
