Over the years, LRCA has been honored to offer some of the very FINEST 1909 Proof nickels that exist, and this PR68 ranks right up there with them! This coin has WOW written all over it! Intensely brilliant mirrors beam and gleam from all over. The fields are flashy and blaze boldly through a rich palette of pastel rose, tangerine, gold, lilac, nickel-silver, and pewter-rose hues. The details are sharply rendered on both sides and the surfaces are essentially pristine. A strong glass reveals a tiny toning fleck and a mint made planchet flaw between the truncation and the date.
