ITALY. Tuscany. Piastre, 1638. Ferdinand II. PCGS Genuine--Edge Repair, EF Details Gold Shield. Dav-4201. A RAREissue, the present example moderately circulated but boldly struck. The edge repair is not visible in the slab, so we must assume a mount removal, although it does not seem to have stained the visible surfaces of the coin, which are toned in a medium argent-gold hue.
