Final-Year 1883 Trade Dollar 1883 Trade Dollar. Proof-64+ (PCGS). Endearing surfaces exhibit mottled olive-russet and steel-blue obverse toning, warmer midnight-blue and sandy-mauve peripheral toning on the reverse. This lovely specimen is fully struck throughout and approaches Gem preservation. The 1883 is the final collectible issue in the trade dollar series, and it is a Proof-only affair with 979 coins struck. The presently offered coin displays a combination of above average preservation and remarkable toning that is superior to the typically encountered survivor.
