详细说明: What a fantastic collector quality example of the final dime issued at the New Orleans mint. The output was only 40,000. Clearly the majority of these disappeared into southern circulation, and problem free examples are VERY RARE indeed, especially so any finer than the currently offered XF40. To this day, PCGS has never certified a Mint State piece. The wear is very minor on this XF piece, and the details are very sharp for a coin in this grade. Deep silver-gray patina is very pleasing to the eye. A strong glass reveals some minor traces of contact. Light marks, lines, and ticks are found, but none are distracting, nor inappropriate for the assigned grade. The eye appeal is fresh and original. PCGS 10, NGC 4. The last PCGS XF40 to sell in auction was in May 2012, realizing 3,450 and the current PCGS Price Guide lists a value of $3,500.
