- A condition rarity in the Peace dollar series, the 24-S is quite difficult to find in GEM grades. The present lot is a borderline GEM with a bold luster that serves to bring life to the soft apricot-gold toning that graces the sharply struck obverse. The reverse, likewise is well struck, but untoned. The eye appeal is exceptional. PCGS 1359, NGC 905, CAC 190. In MS64+, NGC has graded 40 coins, PCGS 124. The last one to sell brought $2,070, in November 2017, but in June 2017, a non-CAC MS64+ realized $2,820. Keeping in mind that the population in 65 drops to 76 at NGC, and the last one sold for $3,600 (not CAC), the presently offered coin does offer a good value. Cert. Number 3810049-001 PCGS # 7364
