- 4 graded MS-66+ FB, 1 graded MS-66+ "star" FB, 14 higher at NGC. A large output of 55-million means 1917 will never be an obvious key to the series, but the coin becomes unexpectedly rare around the superb level with full bands. The obverse could not be more stark-brilliant while a faint layer of orange shows on the reverse. Struck off of a cracked obverse die.
