详细说明: This remarkable 01-O, while not noted on the holder, is from the famed Jack Lee Estate Collection, which was sold in December 2008. DMPLs are quite scarce, surprisingly so considering the large mintage of the 1901-O. Housed in an old NGC "Fatty" holder, this GEM has deep reflective fields and a watery appearance that contrasts nicely with the fully struck and frosted devices. The centers are mostly untoned, while the peripheries have a band of lovely original toning. PCGS 11, NGC 23. In the Jack Lee Estate sale, this coin sold for $3,220 and since then has reappeared on the market a few times, ranging in APR from $3,231 to $5,404. The most recent appearance was in June 2017 where it realized $3,995. There is only 1 DMPL graded finer at NGC, a 66 that sold 12 years ago.
