- 1847 Liberty Head Half Eagle. AU-55 (PCGS). Original golden-honey surfaces are enhanced by tinges of deep olive and lighter orange. Softly frosted in texture and near-fully lustrous. The 1847 is the most available half eagle from its decade in terms of total number of coins known, but it remains scarce to rare in the finest About Uncirculated and all Mint State grades.
