- (t) CHINA. Szechuan. 3 Mace 6 Candareens (50 Cents), ND (1901-08). PCGS VF-20 Gold Shield. L&M-347; K-146; KM-Y-237; WS-0741; Zhang-pg. 171 # 9. Variety with the "H" in Szechuan is a retrograde "E" that has been slightly modified, "V" in "PROVINCE" is an upside down "A". A wholesome and highly collectable example with a very interesting characteristic that is seldom encountered in the marketplace, the retrograde "E" in place of the "H" of Szechuan, sure to excite even the most advanced of collectors. The wholly collectable survivor offers much originality with moderate wear and light attractive mottled gray patina adding to its pleasing appearance. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500.
