- FRANCE. Louis d'Or, 1786-T. Nantes Mint. Louis XVI (1774-90). NGC MS-65. Fr-475; KM-591.14; Gad-361; Dupl-1707; Ciani-2183; Droulers-806; DFW-539. Flashing brilliant sharply struck example which is immediately identifiable as a high grade gem. First semester issue with no dot under name. Struck with slightly older dies showing a bit of die wear and brush lines. Some light toning on the tops of the devices surrounded by a liquid gold sea. Tied with nine other pieces in this grade with only two being one point finer. Nicely struck and highly attractive. Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000. NGC MS-65. Click here for certification details from NGC.
