- 1890-CC Liberty Head Eagle. Winter 1-A, the only known dies. AU-58 (PCGS). A smartly impressed survivor with pinpoint definition to all devices, this Carson City Mint eagle obviously saw very little active circulation. Much of the original frosty luster remains, and it mingles nicely with pretty greenish-gold color with hints of russet here and there. None of the scattered abrasions are singularly distracting to the eye. One of the more readily obtainable CC-mint tens, yet still scarcer than the 1891-CC in all grades. PCGS# 8718. NGC ID: 266S.
