- 1872 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-64 Cameo (PCGS). Essentially untoned and snowy-white with only the faintest patina in the fields. While 950 Proof examples were struck, only about 600 remain in Uncirculated grades. This Near-Gem Proof is among the more desirable survivors, with only 29 coins graded finer by PCGS within the Cameo designation. Provenance: From the Naples Bay Collection.
