- 1833 Matron Head Cent. N-5. Rarity-1. MS-64 BN (NGC). CAC. Original satin surfaces are awash in a blend of glossy brown, antique gold and faded autumn orange. The obverse is a bit more vivid than the reverse, both sides nicely centered on the planchet with fully and uniformly denticulated borders. Several of the obverse stars are flat, but otherwise we note bold to sharp detail to the design elements. Overall smooth in hand, light carbon deposits at the letters RI in AMERICA are the only blemishes of note. Noyes Die State C/B. PCGS# 37030. NGC ID: 225P.
