详细说明: 1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 12-G, W-4790. Rarity-4. No Coulter, Shaggy Mane. VF-25 (PCGS). 149.9 grains. Another impressive example of this important variety, the one most often sought out by those who collect New Jerseys by major type. Glossy dark olive with a nearly smooth if microgranular earthen patina. The sharpness is exceptional on both sides, particularly on the rounded high relief of the horsehead. The obverse centering is aligned to 12 o'clock, the reverse centering is more ideal. A couple of old contact marks are seen at PL of PLURIBUS, otherwise only marks from pre-striking planchet texture are noted, manifesting as striations at central obverse and contact points in the soft area of the central reverse.
