Not a common date to find with CAC approval. Of the 42 graded by PCGS and NGC in PR66, only three have ever been awarded a CAC bean. Totally original and beautifully toned, this GEM has a great look. A wonderful, dappled mix of magenta, gold, tangerine, rose, lilac, and crimson tones come together in a spectacular way. Especially in a light, the colorful patina really pops! The mirrored fields have a smooth watery reflection. The coin would have graded even higher were it not for some very subtle album "slide marks" seen on the neck, but these have very limited, minimal impact on the exceptional eye appeal. Only 700 Proofs were struck. PCGS 17, NGC 25, CAC 3. The most recent example sold back in February 2018 for $2,040 and that was the ONLY CAC approved PR66 ever sold in auction. Just 15 are graded finer in the designation, the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $2,100 and the CAC CPG value is $2,060. This beautifully toned GEM will bring a premium bid for its amazing look! Cert. Number 25014752 PCGS # 5698.00
