FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. LM-8. A wonderful, original, fully CHOICE AU 1795 half dime. Well struck with a bold, well-centered blow from the dies. There is a delicate sheen on the surfaces that accents the pleasing patina on both sides. The color is a rich cobalt blue at the rims, softening to the centers which is an even slate and dove with light golden hues. This is a very appealing example, a perfect coin for a carefully chosen set of 18th century type coins. PCGS 46, NGC 23, CAC 12. The most recent CAC-approved example sold for $8,225 in the 2017 FUN auction, and was NGC-graded. The most recent PCGS/CAC coin to sell via auction realized $9,988 in the 2014 ANA auction. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $8,500. This high end coin will entice strong bidding when it crosses the block.
