The deep olive-gold surfaces of this attractive Period Two Gem exhibit satiny and mildly reflective fields that support a frosty portrait of Liberty on the obverse. The "DOLIAR" variety -- the second L in the denomination appears like an I that joins the foot of the A that follows. This particular specimen is the finest example of BG-804 certified by NGC; it stands alone at the top of that firm's Census Report. A truly gorgeous coin that easily warrants the given grade.
