An attractive near-GEM caliber coin that is on the cusp of the next grade up. High end and very alluring, this is a great looking example of the date and type. Satiny golden surfaces are generally clean, free of distracting marks, lines, or ticks, and even the dreaded right fields is smooth. The incuse designs are razor sharp and deeply impressed into the golden planchet. The eye appeal is very high end. PCGS 4598, NGC 3058, CAC 628. There are 149 graded MS64+ at PCGS, and with the scarcity of any $5 Indian in GEM grade, we suspect the Population data is heavily inflated with resubmissions, crossovers, upgrades, etc. The PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,000 and the most recent sold for $4,920 in May 2022. Only 17 coins have been approved by CAC in MS65 or MS65+, and today, those would be five figure coins. Good luck. Cert. Number 44324047 PCGS # 8514
