- This magnificent GEM is tied for second FINEST graded at PCGS, with just four so graded and just four graded finer. This is a very pleasing high end GEM that is PQ all the way! Soft iridescent silver and gold accents bloom all over with a frosty mint luster that gleams on the satiny smooth surfaces. Sharply struck devices comes together with the luster and color, creating a very impressive package for the collector. A very popular first year of issue and Civil War date. PCGS 64, NGC 29, CAC 16. There are 4 in MS66+ and just four in MS67 finer. This coin sold in our August 2020 Regency Auction for $3,173. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,250 and it jumps to $15,000 in MS67.
