- 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime. LM-10. Rarity-3. AU-58 (PCGS). OGH. Bright satin-white surfaces are fully untoned to allow ready appreciation of the original finish. Pleasingly smooth in hand, both sides exhibit suitably bold detail for a lightly circulated silver coin from the earliest years of U.S. Mint operations. As one of just two dates in the Flowing Hair half dime series (and more obtainable than the first year 1794), the 1795 is a perennial favorite among type collectors, especially in the finer circulated and Mint State grades.
