详细说明: 1883 Pattern Liberty Nickel. Judd-1704, Pollock-1908. Rarity-6-. Proof-65 Cameo (NGC). The obverse portrait is the same that the Mint used to strike regular issue 1883 Liberty Nickels. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the border and the date 1883 is below. On the reverse, a wreath of corn and cotton partially encircles the inscription PURE NICKEL. The word FIVE is above, the word CENTS is below and 13 stars are arranged at the border seven left, six right. Struck in a magnetic composition of 99.8% nickel (as denoted on the NGC insert). Plain edge.<br />     Boldly contrasted in finish with no toning to report, this fully impressed Gem makes a lovely impression on the eye. A few wispy blemishes to the obverse portrait are hardly worth mentioning.
