- BRITISH WEST INDIES. Leeward Islands. Imitation 6400 Reis (Joe), 177x. Maria I & Pedro III. PCGS EF-40. cf. Fr-76; cf. KM-199.2; Gordon-pg.40/3. Weight: 10.94 gms. A well executed and significantly cut down West Indies imitation 6400 Reis (Joe) of a Maria I and Pedro III of debased style, with most of the date and mint mark off of the flan. The obverse surfaces exhibit a slightly rough texture with some minor laminations mentioned for accuracy. This handsome example displays a pale golden coloration with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices adding to its originality and pleasing appearance. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500.
