- THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION REFLECTIVE fields are created due to polishing of the die and are a pretty accent to razor sharp design details. Blushes of gold toning are noted, most notably on the reverse. There is a small contact mark near star 11, and a few random reverse marks above the eagle’s head, but they are commensurate with the grade. In fact, for a coin in MS-61 grade, one would expect a plethora of bagmarks, but this coin is happily free of them! . WB-2, R-3. Repunched 0 (only on early die states). This is a late die state so that diagnostic is no longer visible. The prominent feature for the variety is the large die clash in the right hand side of the shield. Obverse rim cud between the 1,8 of the date. PCGS 3, NGC 7. PCGS Price Guide is $2,750. An example sold in October 2016 for $1,880 when the market was much weaker.
