- FROM THE HUNTER COLLECTION. Ex Link Collection. Sharply struck devices on the reverse stand out on this "a" model. Multiple die clashes are noted on the late obverse die state that also shows all the stars drawn out to the rim. The reverse is interesting as all the milling is complete with full dentils, of which usually only a trace is seen for this die variety. Mostly original silver dusted with gold or lilac iridescent hues show an arch of deeper color at the obverse periphery. The eye appeal is outstanding, with just a couple of old scratches hidden under the toning. PCGS 94, NGC 58. Since AU58 is one of the most popular grades for collectors of this series, this coin should see spirited bidding. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,750.
