- GERMAN EAST AFRICA. 15 Rupien, 1916-T. NGC AU-58. Fr-1; KM-16.2. Variety with the arabesque ending under "A". Struck in the Tabora Railway workshops from dies by a Sinhalese engraver who did his best work intoxicated with palm wine. A very popular type coin and one of a mere 6,395 struck of this variety.
