- GREAT BRITAIN. Cephalonian Committee Bronze Award Medal, 1862. NGC MS-64 Brown. Eimer-1553; BHM-2747. Awarded and engraved to the Cephalonian Committee. Issued for the International Exhibition held in London. By Maclise and Wyon. Obverse: Britannia seated left on throne, surrounded by personifications of industry and the arts; below, lion reclining left; Reverse: Legend in four lines within wreath. Immensely lustrous and attractive, with glossy chocolate brown surfaces. A bold and rather majestic issue, also containing the original box of issue. Estimate: $200 - $300.
