- Date Unlisted in KM GERMANY. Nassau-Weilburg. Taler, 1812-L CT. Friedrich Wilhelm II. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield. KM-25 (unlisted date). Large head type. Approaching fully struck with flashy cartwheel luster and light gray toning throughout. Considering the assigned near-Gem grade, obviously a premium coin, but the absence of post-strike marks over the surfaces deserves specific mention. As the single finest graded of the issue at PCGS or NGC, a coin that is certain to enthrall the collector of elite Taler types. Additionally, this example emanates from the large head type (KM-25), as opposed to the small head type (KM-24), with this date being unlisted in KM for the former. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500.
