A lovely "GEM" AU example! A marvelous representative of the final year of the Draped Bust series. Struck from a middle/late state of the dies, Manley State 4 and struck from a dramatically rotated reverse. The surfaces are a medium brown color with some red-clay accents and iridescent overtones. The fields show heavy die flow lines and some die damage, as made, in the right obverse field. Just the barest trace of high point friction keeps this coin from a full Mint State grade. PCGS 19, NGC 7, CAC 5. Realizing $4,320 in June 2021, the current CAC CPG value is $5,250 and the PCGS Price Guide is $4,750.
