The SOLE FINEST coin in the Red/Brown designation and this uber-GEM possesses much more RED than brown. In fact, the color is mostly totally original red that is just beginning to mellow. A strong red luster offers a stunning look! Like other mid-1870s it had a decent sized mintage, but few were saved in a way that preserved the original color. PCGS 6, NGC 18, CAC 5. As mentioned this is the ONLY MS66+ RB. There are NONE graded numerically higher in any color designation. Collector's Universe currently estimates the value of this coin at $4,500.
