From the RanJack Collection. We unhesitatingly pronounce this coin to be the second finest graded 1887-S. Every RanJack coin that has a +, has it because it is the real deal and is that close to the next grade up. This coin is no exception. This coin is a lesson in virtual perfection. You need a strong glass to find even a microscopic tick or frost break. The surfaces are silky smooth. A full booming luster beams boldly from all over. Outside of a light splash or two of gold, this coin is a gorgeous frosty white. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and are fully struck. Her cheek is seriously clean and rounded. The eye appeal is totally remarkable! PCGS 32, NGC 11, CAC 12. PCGS has graded only 4 MS66+ with one MS67 (NOT CAC). We have seen another MS66+-and it was okay, nothing to get excited over. Here too, we'll challenge this SUPERB GEM vs any other 1887-S. This coin is a testament to RanJack forever searching for the perfect piece. The last one to sell brought $28,200 in January 2018. If the MS67 were CAC, it would cost at least $60,000+. We expect really intense bidding here. Cert. Number 25646190 PCGS # 7180
