1901 Liberty Half Eagle. MS-66 (NGC). 1848 Liberty Eagle. MS-60 (NGC). With nary a distracting blemish to fully lustrous, softly frosted surfaces, the desirability of this coin for high grade gold type purposes cannot be denied. Fully struck from the dies, and bathed in lovely medium-gold color. Conditionally scarce both for the type as a whole and the individual issue.
