- Peck-2031. Struck in nickel brass. 19.5 mm. Edge incused. Victoria. Crown surrounded by royal titles. <I>Reverse:</I> PENNY and number 1 centered within an octagon. This is an exceptionally choice example of one of the rare penny patterns of the period. Listed by peck and Freeman as cupro-nickel, this appears to have actually been made in nickel brass. Far superior to the Brand/Nobleman/Norweb specimen this may be the finest of the 6-15 pieces believed to exist. Extremely Rare. PCGS graded Proof 63.</B> <BR>Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,250.
