- 1852-C Gold Dollar. AU-55 (NGC). CAC. A handsome khaki-gold example with uncommonly smooth surfaces and bold definition in a survivor of this 9,434-piece issue. The 1852-C is one of the more readily obtainable Charlotte Mint gold dollars, which says a lot about the rarity of this Southern gold series given that even well worn survivors are scarce in numismatic circles. At the Choice AU level of preservation the present example is rare from a condition standpoint and is sure to catch the eye of astute collectors. PCGS# 7518. NGC ID: 25BR.
