Superb in every respect! The quality here is VERY HIGH END! This is the SINGLE FINEST PCGS graded 1869 Proof quarter in the non CAM designation. Deeply beaming mirrored fields are the epitome of perfection. They are sleek, clean, icy smooth, and have an incredible depth of clarity. The surfaces are toned over with a pastel teal-blue overtone. The devices are crisp and the obverse offers a moderate contrast. The eye appeal is off the charts! Only 600 Proofs were struck. PCGS 9, NGC 9, CAC 9. This is the ONLY PR66+ graded at PCGS and there are NONE FINER in the designation. In December 2021 this coin realized a world record price of $7,050 in our Regency Auction.
