A lovely GEM-caliber example of this Classic Head half cent. Tied for FINEST in the BN category. Boasting fully struck up devices and silky smooth surfaces, the even brown patination is enlivened by a brilliant mint luster. Soft iridescent overtones are subtle but add to the undeniable eye appeal. PCGS 0, NGC 3. This coin accounts for two of the three most recent appearances, realizing $1,894 in September 2015 and $1,955 in August 2006. Unpriced by Collectors Universe in this grade. NGC has not graded any finer than MS66 in any color classification, bested only by a single MS66 RB. Cert. Number 1850437-001 PCGS # 1165.00
