FROM THE BEAR CREEK COLLECTION With a low mintage of 24,500, the 1845 is quite scarce in any Mint State grade; the combined PCGS and NGC data for Mint State coins is 37 ranging from MS60 to the finest in MS64, most are in the MS61 and MS62 range. This pleasing has a semi-reflective mint luster. Shimmering brilliance on both sides accents the surfaces, bringing the delicate golden iridescent toning to life. We note some weakness to the frosty devices, which is typical for the date. There are some minor ticks and giggles throughout, accounting for the assigned grade. PCGS 7, NGC 7.
