- 1742/1-A Sou Marque. Paris Mint. Vlack-21c. Rarity-7. Second Semester. AU-55 (PCGS). 34.5 grains. Attractive gold and pearl-gray toning to full silvering. Shallow planchet striations are more extensive on the reverse, the most pronounced of which is in the field between the bases of the letters D in LUD and X in XV. Boldly struck overall with appreciable luster remaining. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Earlier from our (Stack's) sale of the Robert A.
