- This GEM O-103 is certainly within the Condition Census for the die marriage. A thick, satiny mint frost glows from below a rich, deeper blue and gray patina with amber-gold accents. Displaying the typical strike for an 1833 half dollar, the details are a little soft on the highest points. The die state shows some weakness in the milling and with the stars and letters being, at least partially, drawn to the edge. The eye appeal is quite lovely. PCGS 18, NGC 21. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $8,000 and prior to this one selling in our December 2022 Regency Auction, we sold another for $6,169 in our sale of the Chicago Collection.
