- "1786" Franklin Natus Boston Medal. Bronze. 46 mm. By Augustin Dupre. Greenslet GM-34, Betts-620, Fuld FR.M.NL.4. MS-66 BN (NGC). This is a remarkably well preserved and attractive example of one of the more popular Franklin medal types. Both sides exhibit a smooth satin texture with a full endowment of warm autumn-brown patina. Numerous die rust lumps (as made) are scattered about in the obverse field, but neither side reveals any grade-limiting blemishes. Fully struck, visually impressive, and worthy of the strongest bids.
