- Key date S-Mint Morgan Dollar that is nearly impossible to locate in uncirculated. The San Francisco Mint released ALL of the 1884-S into circulation immediately, and most collectors did not collect by mintmark. Thus the 1884-S remains a conditional rarity in UNC after suffering heavy use. The present specimen is lightly toned an attractive pale gold with fantastic luster and surfaces free of individual distracting abrasions.
