1866 Two-Cent Piece. Proof-65 BN (NGC). Muted mint color that shows as tan with trace wood grain texture as commonly encountered on these early bronze issues. The surfaces are free of spots but have a hairline or two when closely examined. Mintage of 725 pieces, most seen lack the upper serif on D of UNITED.
