- 1862 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. MS-61 (PCGS). Well struck with some minor contact marks and abrasions overall, typical for the grade assignment. An early impression from the dies, as evidenced by vertical striae from the finishing process (which later wore away as more coins were struck).
